On Sunday 28th April a choir of young men and women from the Czech Republic, treated the congregation of St Mary’s Parish Church Woodbridge with a magnificent musical contribution to their Sunday worship. The three dozen youngsters of the Nota choir from the Gymnasium Boskovice are on an exchange visit to the town. In November the choir of Woodbridge School visited the Czech Republic, and now it is the turn of the young Eastern Europeans to bring their music here. They sang a setting of the Mass by a young Czech composer – Lukas Zdenta . The listeners were thrilled to hear the Kyrie, Gloria and Agnus Dei sung with such power and beauty. Perhaps ‘heavenly’ would best describe the experience !
