This week’s very good news is that Father Nigel and Mrs Liz Prior have moved into the Rectory … Although Nigel may be chatting informally to individuals, we continue to be mindful of the need for everyone to allow them to settle and have a period of rest, relaxation and reflection, before the Institution, which will occur on 24th August, from which date Nigel will take up the duties of Rector of St Mary’s, Woodbridge and Priest-in-Charge of St Mary’s, Great Bealings. We pray for them both, as they become familiar with local people and places. We are very pleased to let you know also that our Wi-Fi access has been reconfigured, which means that it extends now into the church itself, thanks to the combined expertise and enthusiasm of Simon Morris and David Sharples. Meanwhile, Rita James again has directed a team for the third virtual Eucharist, available at www.stmaryswoodbridge.org and we are indebted to all of them. It has been wonderful to follow each service and be able to pass on messages of praise and thanks to her and all other participants. We appreciate how lucky we are - as a church - that Rita has taken up this challenge and met it so admirably. As in previous weeks, we are very keen to advertise a wide range of modes of service and other ways of engaging with various liturgies, in an attempt to accommodate all members of our congregation and others. On page 14, therefore, as usual, you will find details, not only of live-streaming from the Diocese, but also information about BBC radio and television broadcasts, plus the Daily Hope telephone provision. We hope that at least one of these will be applicable to you. Looking forward, we await specific guidance from the Diocese regarding the service at which Nigel will be licensed, but are delighted to have learned that Andy will be made Deacon on Saturday, 6th September at the Cathedral.
