News from Father Nigel

Congratulations to Andy Todd on his Ordination yesterday. Our prayers go with you, and the party will have to wait!

Back to School

This includes me! I am pleased to be meeting different Heads locally and thank them for their thoughtful, socially-distanced meetings to date. I know that there are some relieved parents out there after such a long time at home, and relieved children too – keen to meet up with their friends, and keen to catch up on their studies.

We wish them all well.

Junior Church

After a great meeting with some of our young families last Sunday, we are gearing up to re-start Junior Church in St Mary’s Hall very soon, so watch this space. Already in our diaries, is the All-age Harvest Festival outdoors at Great Bealings on September 27th

(11 am followed by a Bring Your Own Picnic)

Praying for the Sick

You will appreciate it is hard for me to know who’s who yet, and the masks don’t make it easy. But I do want to update the ‘sick list’ and need your help to do this so that names are not on the list ‘forever; so to speak. Please do ring the Parish Office or let us know by email. My personal contacts are the same as my predecessor’s.

Thank you for your understanding.

Saturday’s Ride and Stride

Liz and I have been invited to take part already and we are going to explore the old Bealings Benefice by foot. It may only be five miles but we’d be delighted for sponsorship. There are two ways of doing this, just ring the Rectory or parish office with a pledge, or even better, sign a sponsorship form when you are next in the Church shop.

Thank you.

Fr Nigel.
